Is This right surfboard for me? JS Surfboard Combat v.?

im a beginner surfer In South Carolina but im from california. the waves out in cali dont seem right for beginners, but anyway now i live in SC and just bought this surfboard for 200 bucks. its a js surfboard combat type 6 feet and 18 and a half. im 5'11 and weigh 136 lbs... so is this board right for me and right for a general beginner?
