What kind of printer should I use to print professional-quality business cards/invitations/stationery?

I'd like to start designing these things and selling them, but I know nothing about printers. What kind of printer (and other equipment, if needed) should I buy to print high-quality, professional business cards, wedding invitations, etc. etc. etc.?
