Where are the marine bases in America?

my boyfriend plans on joining crash fire rescue in the marines. We know he'll be going to Camp Perry in SC for basic training, but he expects me to move with him wherever he's going. Where are some of the marine bases in America, and what're they like? We're from Virginia if that matters any.
