Who sings Beyond the Night?

I like the song Beyond the Night that was used in a episode of Stargate Atlantis.(Episode Critical Mass) But i cant find out who sang it. Most places are saying Ratchel Lutrell did but clarify only some of it. I want the original artist, Not some screen music from a show. can anyone help me find it please.
